What is your top money lesson in 2022?

My top money lesson would be life is short and money finishes, be less extravagant and more frugal. That will give you peace of mind.

What did you spend your money on in 2022 that gave you joy?

To be honest, I spend quite a bit on food. I’m a man of simple pleasures and it tops it for me. Also tossed a few more coins into smelling nice. That’s always worth the money.

What’s the biggest money mistake you made this year?

It still boils down to the frugality I mentioned earlier, I wasn't as frugal as I should have been. It's a character trait I’m working on. Hopefully, I’m much better in 2023.

What did you spend the most money on this year?

I think everyone who is young and lives away from home wails over the outrageous rent prices in the entire country. But also making my space feel comfortable, welcoming, and liveable put a major dent in my reserves. My home has to be refreshing for me, it is where I can unwind from my 9-5, (scratch that 8-6). So, it has to feel safe, and the ambiance is just right.

What funny name do you call money?

It’s really just money for me, I’m not big on slangs I guess. To be honest, I don’t think I ever really reference money in conversation. Only in passing like “how much does that cost” or “I wonder if I can afford that.”

Describe your money journey this year with a word.

Irresponsible. That’s it pretty much. I’m not mad about it, but maybe be better, Dami.

One thing you'd do now if you had all the money you wanted?

I’ll take it easy, just not stress about things. If we’re being honest expenses take the lead in stressing us and I’d really want to rest from it. So yeah, that’s what I will do.

I’ll really just take it easy. The idea is, we work to earn so we can really live. If I didn’t have to work to earn, then all that’s left is the living. So, I’ll most likely spend time on the things I really enjoy and my hobbies (even though I get a new one virtually every 3 months).
